HHS Awards Recovery Act Funds for Health Information Technology

On June 3, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sebelius announced that $83.9 million in grants under the Recovery Act has been awarded by HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration to help networks of health centers adopt electronic health records (EHR) and other health information technology (HIT) systems.  Forty-five competitive grants will support new and enhanced EHR implementation projects and HIT innovation projects.  Among the grantees receiving this Recovery Act funding is Dena' Nena' Henash - Tanana Chiefs Conference of Alaska.
