Limited Recovery Act Funding Opportunity for Communities Putting Prevention to Work Program
On May 24, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Department of Health and Human Services posted on Grants.gov a Recovery Act funding opportunity announcement for the Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) program. The purpose of supplemental funding under the Recovery Act is to expand existing data collection and evaluation of biometric and other related measurements in selected communities funded for obesity prevention. Eligibility for this funding opportunity announcement is limited to the 25 current CPPW grantees funded through cooperative agreements, including the Cherokee Nation Health Service Group, OK, and the Pueblo of Jemez, NM.
