Recovery Act Grant Solicitation for Technical Assistance for American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Services Project
On May 14, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services in the Department of Education published in the Federal Register a notice of Recovery Act funding availability for the Rehabilitation Capacity Building for Traditionally Underserved Populations – Technical Assistance for American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Services Projects Program. This grant program provides outreach and technical assistance to minority entities and American Indian tribes in order to enhance their capacity to carry out activities funded under the Rehabilitation Act and to promote their participation in activities funded under the Act.

Tribal governments, Indian housing authorities, and Native American tribal organizations are among the entities eligible to apply for this program, for which $280,000 in Recovery Act funding is available for one award. The deadline for applications is June 28, 2010.
