Recovery Act Grants Available for Comparative Effectiveness Delivery System Evaluation
On February 12, the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality in the Department of Health and Human Services posted on www.Grants.gov a Recovery Act funding opportunity announcement for grant applications from investigators seeking to conduct rigorous comparative evaluations of alternative system designs, change strategies, and interventions that have already been implemented in health care and are likely to improve quality and other outcomes. Tribal governments and Native American tribal organizations are among the entities eligible to apply for these grants, for which $7 million in Recovery Act funding is available. The closing date for applications is March 18, 2010.
